This is the largest privately-owned photovoltaic system in the county. The grove incorporates 15 modular structures arranged to form a carport that shades 186 parked cars while generating solar electricity using Kyocera’s latest photovoltaic modules. Its generating capacity produces enough hours of electricity from sunlight to realize a savings of approximately $50,000 in energy costs per year.

Indirect lighting of the covered parking spaces by use of flood lights (with internal glare shields and external visors) mounted on the concrete base of each “solar tree” and aimed to be “Dark Sky” friendly.
