A $14 million design/build, four-level parking structure was constructed to provide an additional 1,050 parking spaces. Construction consisted of reinforced concrete walls, post-tensioned concrete floor slabs and split-faced crash rails. The construction of the 323,263-square-foot parking structure called for 1,150 post tension steel cables, at a weight of 201.43 tons; 396.85 tons of rebar; 8,793.25 cubic yards of concrete; and 10 tons of steel for a total of 608.28 tons of installed steel. The project was completed two months ahead of schedule.

This 2,000-square-foot coffee house and drive-thru
facility is located San Marcos, California. The
structural engineering for the single-story building
entailed a combination of wooden shear walls and
steel moment frames to provide the seismic
resistance required due to the exterior glass panels
and open interior of the space.
